    The range of technologies includes, but is not limited to:

    ADSL Annex A– this high-speed connection is a popular choice for businesses, providing up to 24Mbps download and 2Mbps upload speeds from a single DSL. An ADSL line allows flexibility and security and all connection speeds are guaranteed at a 98% SLA with a single circuit, or higher for bonded solutions.

    ADSL Annex M– this business broadband is designed for companies that require a higher upstream bandwidth compared to ADSL 2+. ADSL Annex M changes the profile of the circuit, reducing the downstream slightly in order to provide up to double the upstream compared to ADSL 2+.  It offers a cost-effective access circuit allowing you to download and send data effectively within a range of applications, giving you both reliability and business grade performance.

    Bonded ADSL– this combines several lines to create a single, superfast internet connection. It has rapid speeds dependent on location, providing businesses with a consistently reliable line. It also operates on an uncontended ADSL network that increases reliability and boosts speeds. A bonded ADSL line can offer download speeds of up to 80Mbps and is guaranteed at a 99.9% SLA.

    Fibre Ethernet and EFM (Ethernet in the First Mile)– for any business looking for reliable, high bandwidth services, Ethernet has become the technology of choice. It can be used as a Point to Point service between sites, or for access into the internet or an MPLS VPN.  Ethernet provides cost-effective access to dedicated, scalable, high bandwidth services with fast repair times. Fibre Ethernet provides speeds of up to 1Gbps, and the more recently available EFM delivers Ethernet services using bundles of copper pairs commonly used for traditional telephone services, which makes installation much quicker and easier. By bonding multiple pairs together, EFM can deliver speeds of up to 35Mbps (distance dependent) and is deliverable within 3km of an exchange.

    FTTC– currently broadband in the UK is serviced via copper pairs between the customer premises and the local BT telephone exchange. Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC) replaces the existing copper with fibre optic cables, meaning that broadband speeds can be increased providing up to 40Mbs download and 10Mbs upload via VDSL because the copper line length has been reduced to just the copper run between the customer premises and the BT street cabinet.

    FTTP– Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) is a new ultra-fast broadband service that provides speeds of up to 110Mbps. It is part of BT’s £2.5 billion investment in bringing fibre broadband to two-thirds of the UK by 2015.  With this service, customers will be able to further exploit the power of the internet with quicker downloads and uploads, and easy access to high bandwidth applications such as streaming video.

    3G and 4G– mobile communications have evolved rapidly over the last 20 years and now 3G and 4G represent the third and fourth generations of mobile technology respectively. Securus can support all aspects of mobile communications, including both these technologies.  4G trials are ongoing and will be a game changer when readily available.

    The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) was developed to provide an actionable framework for developing a robust payment card data security process, including prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to security incidents. The ultimate aim is to facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures globally.

    PCI DSS provides a baseline of technical and operational requirements designed to protect cardholder data. PCI DSS applies to all entities involved in payment card processing, including merchants, processors, acquirers, issuers and service providers, as well as all other entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data. PCI DSS comprises a minimum set of requirements for protecting cardholder data, and Securus will work with you to ensure that these requirements are met.

    ISO 27001 is the best practice specification that helps global businesses to develop a best-in-class Information Security Management System (ISMS). Today, information systems are vital to all organisations so ISO 27001 sets out specific requirements, all of which must be followed, and against which an organisation’s ISMS can be audited and certified.     Back up and Resilience

    If network connectivity into a business fails, the consequences can be disastrous, whether through lost revenue or loss of goodwill for that business’ customers. With such high dependency on the network, it is critical that businesses look at the potential impact of circuit failure and the benefits of deploying a more resilient solution with a back-up circuit.

    Firewall Solutions

    Any enterprise with an internet and intranet that allows its employees access to the internet and corporate resources should install firewalls to prevent outsiders from accessing their private data resources.
